M. S. Herman & Company is a custom millwork company that specializes
in architectural and coachwork restoration, preservation and replication.
We
work with the finest architects, interior designers, builders and our clients
to produce extremely fine mouldings, millwork and cabinetry with a decidedly
traditional approach. We recently added a new, exciting material to our millwork
capability. Click here to learn about this new material,
Azek.
Whether
it is restoring historic hardware for a client such as the National
Parks Service at the Weir Farm National Historic Site, re-creating hand
planed mortise and tennoned doors for an 1820’s Greenwich, CT
farmhouse, or a period inspired kitchen for a fine new Westport home, M. S.
Herman & Company
works hard to meet the challenge. In fact, technically challenging projects
are the norm.
We
are consistently called upon to actually go beyond the scope of typical millwork
to fabricate
such items as special hardware in iron and
brass, custom zinc and copper sinks, intricate Art Deco lacquer and
relief carved architectural elements to complete clients’ projects.
These projects have been featured in national publications such as in Country
Living and Better Homes and Gardens.
